Back at Nimr

Well I am back here at work, bit behind but catching up fast. As soon as I arrived there has been an incident truck driving into the back of another luckily the driver only got broken arm and leg. The cab of the truck was completely ripped of the vehicle and the steering wheel was embedded in the back of the cab. One lucky man.

Weather is nice, about 31 degrees a bit foggy in the morning but that's nice. Just looking forward to Friday, 100 off on the plane home for another week of, as long as the rain stays away !!!

Still on Days Off !!

Well I am still in Muscat after my week off, there has been a cyclone warning for the south of Oman and the airfields have been flooded and closed down. I am really sad having to spend more time with the family, more time on the beach and less meals eaten down in Nimr which means less indigestion. I am just waiting for the flights to return to normal now and get the call to the airport, they are busy regrading the runway as landing on it normally is not a great experience, with all the bumps left from the rain could be frightening. Spending nearly every afternoon on the beach with Jess, building sandcastles, spotting fish, crabs, birds and whatever comes along. I know it will all come to an end very soon !! so I will make the most of it.

Back in Muscat for the week off !

Well back for the week off in Muscat, Jess is very demanding, wants to do things all the time or throws a wobbler, been going to the beach in the afternoons for a walk, its nice weather around 4-30 in the afternoon, not too hot and the tide is out so there is a lot of places for her to run around. We both love walking the beach, lots to see and lots of learning as we see all the things on the beach, today we got attacked by a blue swimmer crab, it frightened poor Jess to death, the crab jumped out of the water and was having its arms at us, even though it was only six inches across its pincers that were spread wide it was quite menacing. We also had a play with a baby sting ray, caught in a tidal pool, it was gliding around and Jess loved it.

We found one of the cars that had been washed out to sea stuck in the sand and Jess found it interesting and as usual blamed it on the storm (Gonu) as she does everything.

We are off out again tomorrow, but this time to make sandcastles and maybe get a bit deeper in the sea, will have to wait and see what sort of mood she is in.

Jessica in Big Girls School

Well here is Jessica, all ready for the first day at her new school, I ma not sure if they are ready for her yet but time will tell. I cant believe how fast the time is flying by, cant believe the little monster is talking and giving orders. She cant wait to be the teachers helper, I pity the poor kids at the school being bossed around, still at least it measn that it wont be me and Lisa getting it.
